Volunteer - First Touch

Greeter

All members and visitors entering the church receive a warm smile, a firm handshake, and a cordial greeting, courtesy of the Appleton Alliance Church Greeters Ministry! The goal of this area of ministry is to help people feel welcome in our church. Greeters are stationed throughout the narthex and at various entrances to offer smiles, handshakes, and to give directions or take you where you need to go.

Usher

If it were not for an alert usher, Billy Graham would not have found a seat in the revival meeting where he came to know Jesus Christ. The ushers do much more than hand out the bulletin, they help facilitate the worship service. Ushers assist with seating, receiving offerings, distribution of the weekly bulletin, and help respond to emergencies.

Coffee and Specialty Drink Preparation

Over 30 gallons of coffee are consumed at Appleton Alliance Church on a typical Sunday Morning! Many of those enjoying our coffee and specialty drinks are visitors. Helping with coffee service is a great way to meet others at Appleton Alliance! We'll also train you on how to make specialty coffee drinks!

Parking Attendant

All members and visitors entering the church parking lot receive a warm smile, and a friendly wave, courtesy of the Appleton Alliance Church Parking Ministry! Volunteer - Student Ministry

Security Team

With hundreds of students pouring into Greenhouse every Wednesday night, we want to ensure their safety and security. Security Team members understand the significance of keeping every student safe and every parent comfortable with dropping their student off at Greenhouse. This team works together to manage indoor traffic flow, secure entrances and exits, and observes the safety of students and leaders.

Cafe Team Member

This is a fun group that connects with students each week as they serve them in our Greenhouse cafe. If you enjoy dreaming up creative snacks, this is a blast. They think about how students can taste the truth they hear every Wednesday night!

Special Needs Ministry

This role is someone who enjoys working with and caring for students with disabilities. The volunteer will participate in Student Ministries events alongside the student with disabilities, supporting them throughout the experience.

Special Events Team Member

The student ministries at AAC will have occasional special events for which we need creative and organized individuals. As a Special Events team member you’ll help plan and set up occasional medium or large sized events such as: leader training, student Christmas parties, Parent night, baptisms, etc.

Greenhouse Game Team Member

Fun! It’s a core value in Student Ministries and a “must have” for all Junior High students. Game Team members are fun, exciting adults and high school students who have a passion to create and facilitate awesome game time at the Greenhouse. Whether it’s dodgeball, basketball, capture the flag, or human-foosball, our Game Team members will make every meeting night a night that students will look forward to and never forget!

Hospitality Team

This is a great role for those just wanting to “hang out” or be around the SM experience. It’s a fun way to help greet parents and students, setup for, or simply be around at parties or weekly events! This is a great “first step” role for Student Ministries.

Music/Tech Team Member

This role is perfect for someone who has lighting, sound and production experience. As a Tech team member, you’ll run the sound booth, operate the lights and support the worship teams during Greenhouse.

Student Volunteers

Come and make a difference in the lives of our youth! We have opportunities available in several areas including youth small group leaders, large group helpers and cafe help.

Beliefs

We base our beliefs on the infallible Word of God, the Bible, which teaches that there is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace.
