Women's Retreat

Women's Retreat 2017
Quest: A King, A Queen, and a Question

The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
February 24-26, 2017
Retreat Speaker: Liz Curtis Higgs
Registration Opens November 21, 2016

Journey with us as we join the Queen of Sheba on her quest for wisdom. Her voyage to Jerusalem to meet the wise King Solomon will inspire you as we see how to live boldly, seek truth and honor the Lord.

You will be challenged, changed and entertained as our speaker, Liz Curtis Higgs, unfolds the story of the Queen of Sheba, King Solomon and the quest that will inspire you.

This weekend has something for everyone — inspiration from God’s Word, mouth-watering meals, engaging breakout sessions, and good friends — new and old. Invite your girlfriends to attend with you. You won’t want to miss this life-changing weekend.

Retreat Speaker: Liz Curtis Higgs

Liz Curtis Higgs has one goal: to help women embrace the grace of God with joy and abandon. Her messages are biblical, encouraging, down-to-earth, and profoundly funny, helping both sisters and seekers celebrate the truth of God's love for them. Liz is the author of more than 30 books with 4.5 million copies in print, including her nonfiction bestsellers, Bad Girls of the Bible, The Girl's Still Got It, and The Women of Christmas. Liz has also presented more than 1,700 inspirational programs in all 50 United States and 14 foreign countries, and has spoken for Women of Faith, Women of Joy, and Extraordinary Women. Louisville, Kentucky is home for Liz, her husband, Bill, and their grown children, Matt, Lilly, and daughter-in-law Beth. Liz admits she's a lame housekeepers, a marginal cook, and a mediocre gardener, but what she cares about most are the women seated in front of her, first row to last.

Saturday Night Entertainment: Bone Hampton
As down home as collards and cornbread, as sharp as a pickaxe, and as funny as a possum in a petticoat, Comedian Bone Hampton is a master at making audiences feel like family. His clean, homespun humor, sharp wit, and easy delivery makes the Dove Award-winning “Comedian of the Year” one of the most highly sought after performers in the business.

Beliefs

We base our beliefs on the infallible Word of God, the Bible, which teaches that there is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace.
